2025–2026 Projects
Lunch and Learn
This series of events celebrates the diversity and expertise of our global class by combining knowledge-sharing with cultural exchange through food.
The first session was held at the Colaba restaurant, where students presented valuable insights into the Indian energy landscape. Following its success, the next event, planned for 2026, will focus on Turkey.
Thought Leadership Research
With the support of ESCP’s faculty members and its EMC, the Energy Society will publish a series of research papers showcasing members’ expertise and addressing key questions across finance, policy, and innovation.
The first publications, scheduled from late February to late March, will explore topics such as energy policy in emerging markets, Battery Energy Storage Systems, and the dynamics and trends shaping Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs).
Webinars
A series of webinars will feature alumni and industry experts who will share insights into their respective fields and offer practical advice to help students succeed in the job market.
Online Session on Trading and Commodities
In collaboration with the ESCP European Careers Centre and the EMC, the first webinar was held on 21 November and was led by Trafigura’s team, Lea Coulet (Talent & Resourcing Lead), Roberto Capone Morfini (Power Originator), and Stefanos Negris, MEM Alumnus (Class of 2026).
The session provided students with a unique opportunity to gain insights into the company’s global operations and culture, and its pivotal role in supplying the world with energy and commodities, while advancing the transition to a lower-carbon future.
Site Visits
Energy Superhub Oxford (UK)
The board aims to organise a visit to the Energy Superhub in Oxford, a £40M energy project that combines battery storage, EV charging, and low-carbon heating to help the city hit net-zero by 2040. It is part of three demonstrator projects that aim to serve as replicable models for other local communities.
Renewables Site (UK)
The second site visit will be held at the Solar Farm Community Benefit scheme in Verwood, where two local solar farms generate renewable electricity and provide annual community-benefit funding to support local sustainability projects. This initiative will demonstrate how renewables can effectively deliver clean energy while generating long-term economic and environmental benefits for the community.
More details will be announced soon. Stay tuned!
