Senior Policy Manager at International Hydropower Association
MSc in Energy Management, Class of 2016

The Energy sector is undergoing a period of revolution which is unprecedented and full of new challenges. The MSc in Energy Management provided me with all the necessary tools to understand the fundamentals of the sector and enabled me to excel in my career from day one.

I was looking for a specialisation that would enable my transition from a technical role in the energy sector to something more business and finance related. The MEM is perfectly designed for this. Additionally, I got a lot of motivation from my class, who came from many different backgrounds, and I have truly created long-lasting relationships that are invaluable. It’s a demanding and intense MSc, but the more you invest of yourself, the more you will be rewarded. A once-in-a-lifetime decision that I will never regret!

Salomé Germain
Founder of Arba Advisory
MSc in Energy Management, Class of 2019

The MSc in Energy Management neatly couples the fundamentals of business management modules with a focus on the energy industry. The MEM was holistic and provided a clear view of the energy industry (oil & gas, power markets, electricity, renewables, etc.), both in terms of business and resources management. Whether you want to work in the oil and gas industry or in electricity, you need to have this 360-degree view to understand the key challenges, other stakeholders and constraints. The MEM gave me the tools to be polyvalent.

Even better, it was much more than an ordinary master’s degree: the conferences and meetings with companies that were organised by the ESCP Energy Management Centre were also giving us the tools to kick-off our career!

Living in London was also an amazing experience and, most importantly, this Master introduced me to great people! Our class was made up of 23 students from 15 nationalities, and this diversity of cultural, academic and professional backgrounds created an ideal ground for personal growth. We also helped each other a lot: some people were giving finance courses to others, while some were more knowledgeable on the technical aspects of the oil industry. I felt a real community within our cohort.

Emma Huizar Felix

ESG Manager, Verdani Partners

Professor, CETYS University

MSc in Energy Management, Class of 2018

During my time at ESCP Business School on the MSc in Energy Management specialisation, my expectations of a Master degree were surpassed. The MEM gives more than professional development: the vast diversity of cultures and professional backgrounds enrich the learning experience so much, not to mention the valuable friendships that were created.

As an energy consultant at Diurna Energy, Inc., the skillset I acquired at ESCP are an essential part of my daily duties. As a professor at CETYS University for students pursuing the Energy Renewables Engineering degree, it has been a great support in sharing with students the many perspectives that exist in the global energy industry.

In my previous position as a senior specialist at a multifamily developer and operational company, monitoring and managing the national sustainability programme was a challenge. Even more so to grow the programme internally, making everyone in the company aware and involved and showing owners the economic benefits. The areas of the MEM on energy regulation and policy areas helped me meet and conquer the challenge successfully.

The MSc in Energy Management’s 360-view of the energy business with a global perspective, has definitively shaped my professional development, given that my work focuses on Mexico and the USA.

I will always cherish my time at ESCP and everything I learnt.
