We report below on the success of our joint conference with City University London and Holman Fenwick Willan LLP on "Energy Developments in the South-East Mediterranean", held at the Hellenic Centre, London 20-21st September. We were particularly honoured to have the Minister of Energy from Greece Dr. Yannis Maniatis and Nicos Kouyialis, Minister of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Environment, from Cyprus as speakers.

This month, ESCP Europe is celebrating two major accolades from the UK press.

The Times Higher Education magazine has shortlisted us for the Business School of the Year category in their 2013 Awards - look out for the results at the end of November.

In addition, the School has been ranked no.1 in all our five campus countries (France, UK, Germany, Spain, Italy) in the Financial Times Masters in Management rankings, coming no.2 worldwide and in top position for International Experience.

These acheivements come in the light of our continuing growth and innovation, particularly in the UK, where we are marking 40 years in the country as pioneers of cross-border business education.

This month we are proud to announce the launch of a new set of Advanced Master Classes in business, covering a range of topics, encompassing Finance, Economics and Energy Management, with more subjects to be added soon.

We also extend a very warm welcome to our third cohort of Executive Master in Energy Management participants, who began their studies in London at the beginning of September and to the first cohort of students on our brand new full-time Master in Energy Management programme, which began at the end of the month.

We would like to thank ESCP Europe Alumni's Energy and Environment Club for organising a joint mini conference on 'Energy Efficiency in the UK' at Natixis Bank on the 25th September. This gave our current executive participants the chance to network with London-based alumni interested in the topic.

October is also looking just as active and interesting, with a major conference organised by the French Chamber of Commerce in Great Britain on October 29th at One Great George Street. UK Director Dr Patrick Gougeon will be giving a talk and a special issue of the Chamber's magazine 'Info' will be devoted to the conference.
